Summer Project Brief
- Design a 26 letter alphabet which represents your personality - things you like, things you don't like, what defines you and what inspires you. Final Design:
For my alphabet, I chose to create a design rather than 26 individual letters. Although this was not sticking completely to the brief, I wanted to play around with ideas and ended up creating a web of different ideas, each having a different font or something included with or next to it to represent me. For example, 'a' was for art, for 'b' I created the image of a bike within the bowl and 'c' has the image of a cake next to it to reprsent my love for cake. In addition to this I also put in the names of artists and photographers that inspire me, such as for 'K' I incorporated Neil Krug's name as he is my favourite photographer and designer, and 'L' for Lucien Freud as I love his paintings. For others like the 'C' I chose to just put symbols next to which start with the same letter to represent what I like, for instance 'R' there is an image of a glass as I love Rosé and for 'P' there is a pizza for my love of pizza. Others such as the 'X,' 'Y' and 'Z' I just left as decorative letters which, like the other letters, I joined onto the stems of the lines running through so that everything connects to together, much like a web of ideas. For this web I wanted to create a nature based theme throughout to also represent my likes and what inspires me, which is why I also chose to keep the colours majoritively naturalistic throughout.

Feedback and Crit: Interesting and original idea, would be good for a poster however, it could not be used as a typeface, there for I could of produced an extra individual set of letters, so a typeface could be created out of them
