OUGD405 Studio Brief 3 - Production
After all of the design changes I've made, I think the ones I've decided with were the right decision, as overall I really like the look of the guide on a whole, and feel that the double page spreads work well and complement each other together, but also work individually as well. I have spread out my use of information across all of the guide as I didn't want to have a book filled with random information, I wanted the book to have a purpose so I think creating a guide has worked well for me and allowed me to structure all my research and inform people beneficially. One negative I would say would be that perhaps the double page spreads look a bit simple with one main image, a small about of text and a title, but I believe it isn't simple because all of my design decisions have been informed. I've tried different layouts and looks and overall came to the conclusion that having one main image as the main focus is the right thing to do as it fits within the context of the guide and makes the pages a lot more striking and engaging. I managed to choose the right images to use despite learning that my others were such a low resolution last minute, and will now know for the future.
